SQUAN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Engineering Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of telecommunications engineers and technicians.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of telecommunications systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance on complex engineering issues.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and external vendors.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the reliability and performance of telecommunications systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards and procedures.
- Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and expertise to internal and external customers.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, fiber optics, wireless, and satellite communications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD.
