Position Summary:

SQUAN is a fast-growing Telecom service firm looking to build our OSP Field Personnel. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working out in the field and is comfortable with working outdoors in various weather conditions. Our client base is expanding, and we need boots on the ground to provide our designers with accurate, real-time data. This job requires a person who has high energy and is willing to take the required steps for customer satisfaction.

As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for completing field data collection which may include utility pole attachments, measurements for construction paths, buried facilities, right-of-way and roadway dimensions, cabinet or building inventory, as well as any additional notes to aid design and/or construction. We are looking for someone who completes their tasks in a timely manner, has keen attention to detail skills, and can work with minimal supervision.

You must be comfortable with traveling up to 75% of the year and comfortable with being on the road for up to three weeks at a time. You must also be comfortable with utilizing your own vehicle for travel and must possess a valid driver's license. You must also be comfortable with staying overnights as needed based on the current project.

This position pays in Unit Pay and will vary depending on each job. Should you move forward with us, this will be explained to you during the interview process. SQUAN also reimburses for mileage and provides per diem as needed.

Requirements

• You must be willing to travel up to 75% of the year
• You must be comfortable traveling to anywhere within the United States
• Must be comfortable with being on the road for up to three weeks at a time
• Must possess and maintain reliable transportation and valid drivers license and comfortable utilizing your own vehicle for transportation; company vehicles are not provided
• Working outdoors regardless of season or geography
• Comfortable with handheld hardware such as tablet or iPad
• Exhibit effective communication and customer service skills
• Motivation to adapt to industry/client changes
• Maintain a professional appearance and solid work ethic
• Prior fielding experience, telecom industry preferred
