Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, while also leading initiatives to improve overall quality systems. This role requires a strong background in quality management within a manufacturing or production environment, with expertise in various quality standards and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality
- Review Purchase Orders before they go to the floor to be worked, for various contractual requirements. ((i.e. – Documentation required to be provided along with the jobs, such as certificates of compliance, NDT reports, Pre-production procedure submittals, testing certificates.
- Review Purchase Order Refresh Actions for changes made to POs and Requests for Quotes regarding quality requirements.
- Perform Internal/External Audits
- Design procedures/guidelines for trades/TMS personnel to follow, regarding documentation, processing, etc.
- Update QA Manual periodically to reflect changes made within the company due to audit findings, or identified areas of concern which could use improvements.
- Calibrate Measuring and Test Equipment annually to verify accuracy, as applicable for internally calibrated items, such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, paint thickness gauges, pit gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, etc. Maintain Logs
- Track Vendor Information Requests
- Update the Master Procedures spreadsheet (non-NDT and Weld) to reflect current procedure/instruction revisions.
- Train inspectors on how to read and interpret drawings and how to report them on the appropriate spreadsheets for non-conformances, to be able to track repeat offenses, and areas of concern, relaying the information to supervision and the General Manager via monthly reports.
- Train inspectors on how to perform the physical inspections of dimensional attributes of parts appropriately and most efficiently, including training on how to use different pieces of M&TE.
- Generate Internal Quality Reports monthly and quarterly to determine if improvements have had positive or negative results.
- Develop flowcharts as appropriate to aid in visual recognition of changes or flow of information.
- Support inspectors and assist them with any inspection related questions or concerns at all times, providing more detail than they may have originally been provided.
- Creative problem solving for various issues that may arise.
Compliance
- Implement and inform personnel of ACP/TCP (Access Control Plan/Technology Control Plan).
- Lead annual CUI briefings as required by CUI Program and ACP/TCP.
- Ensure enforcement of Guest Log protocols and “Escort” policies for all personnel.
- Enforce procedures for personnel to safeguard/handle CUI documents.
- Handle Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) from suppliers and customers as appropriate.
- Review and incorporate as appropriate any and all new regulatory requirements as issued from customers and industry at large.
- Informing upper management of required inclusions in purchase order terms and conditions that need to flow down to our sub-tier vendors and suppliers.
- Ensuring that all personnel are up-to-date with understanding the requirements regarding handling, storage, destruction, transmittal, and reporting of CUI and NOFORN documents.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field. Quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in quality management within manufacturing; experience with audits, quality standards, and calibration processes.
- Proficient in using M&TE for inspections, quality management software, and understanding NDT reports and testing certificates.
- Strong leadership, team training, and mentoring skills; effective communication with staff and management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CUI, NOFORN, ACP/TCP); experience with documentation, NDAs, and handling sensitive materials.
- Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
