Overview

Our Client, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) at our Joliet, Il location.

As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity the connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our patients daily! You will promote the physical, personal, and emotional well-being of patients and work with teams to strive to reach the ultimate goal, which is to return the patient to their maximum level of self-care and independence, when possible.

As a Registered Nurse, you will impact the lives of our patients by –

  • Providing and directing the provisions of nursing care, as prescribed by the physician, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care, and in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies.
  • Performing the initial and/or comprehensive nursing evaluation visit, identifying the primary focus of care, developing an individualized plan of care in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional or interdisciplinary team, patient, family, or caregiver.
  • Using critical nursing skills to regularly assess and reassess the patient's ongoing needs, report changes in patients' conditions, such as change in condition, adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and provide necessary nursing intervention within the scope of nursing standards of care.
  • Educating patients and their families or caregivers about managing patient’s illness or injury, including home care needs and medication administration.
  • Participating in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participating in professional development and lifelong learning activities.
  • Supervising the LPNs and HHAs.
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned.

To become a Registered Nurse, you will need –

  • Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Current RN license, specific to the state you are assigned to work.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current liability auto insurance.
  • Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job which includes, but is not limited to seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 200lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction from management, as well as take initiative – willing to go above and beyond to ensure our patients needs are met and they are comfortable in their living environment.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish identified goals with a strong sense of accountability for results.
