QuikMedic Community Paramedic is seeking experienced, highly motivated individuals to
fill the position of Community Paramedic. The Community Paramedic is responsible for in-home
assessment and treatment of patients enrolled in the Wellbe Programs.
What is Community Paramedicine?
Wellbe Senior Medical’s Complete Care model provides comprehensive, well-coordinated and
multidisciplinary in-home care to the medically fragile. As part of the complete care model,
Community Paramedicine services may be required in the patients home and this joint scope of
services provides for the provision of Paramedic services to Wellbe Senior Medical Patients.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide quality patient care in accordance with clinical operating policies, statewide protocols, and accepted standards of care
• Attend to all patients in a courteous, professional manner
• Attend Community Paramedic Training as well as Wellbe equipment/device training in accordance with Amerimed-MIH Training Program within a week of hiring. Ongoing training to
be expected and additional skills will be added to MIH-CP.
• Operate the community vehicle in accordance with safety rules and regulations; company policies and procedures; federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes
• Complete an equipment checklist at the beginning of each assigned shift. Inspect and clean
the assigned vehicle and all equipment. Ensure compliance with minimum stock requirements, proper function and cleanliness of all equipment. Report all of this prior to each shift
on Trauma Soft and send to Division Manger.
• Keep a continuity of the ‘As it should be’ checklist throughout workday.
• Monitor remote patient tracking and respond as appropriate in a timely manner
• Participate in discharge planning of Wellbe patients
• Complete initial in-home assessments and on-going home visits as appropriate for all patients
enrolled in the program
• Complete and submit all documentation/paperwork requirements daily
• Ensure deployed Wellbe devices are tracked and in good working order at all times
• Utilize a Home Safety Checklist prior to patient care and report the form to Division Manager
• Must be able to maintain a reliable attendance record including coming to work on time.
• Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
with Amerimed and Wellbe.
• Maintain all required certifications as an active EMS provider and supply the DM with valid copies of all certifications and driver’s license prior to their expiration dates as well as
submit a copy of driver’s license for the yearly MVR pull.
• Read department SOP’s and sign compliance form and confidentiality agreement
• Read and understand Wellbe’s protocols.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
• Fully state certified as a Paramedic as defined by the State of Alabama
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• 3 years minimum of experience as a Paramedic
• The Community Paramedic must be in good Clinical standing pass the scenarios test and
PT test
• Must possess strong customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently; must be able to function as part of a care planning
team
• Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), CT, CCP are preferred. State required
PALS, BLS, ACLS cards must be current as required by the State of Georgia DPH
EMS division.
