Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Medical Assistants (MA) needed in the West Chester area!

Specialty: Women's Health

Shift: Monday- Friday, occassional Saturday rotation

Full-time or Part-time

 

Job Overview:
This position is in a Clinic setting and assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of physician. This position also interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts, and prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. The position will be cross-trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care; work cooperatively within the team concept demonstrating flexibility, motivation and commitment to quality patient care. This position’s tasks include patient related duties, medical record maintenance/documentation, and safety/environmental duties.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional ,or vocational program
  • If licensed, only the following current/active certifications are accepted:   
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT, NCCT, or NHA or
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA
  • Recent experience: Up to 1 year experience in a medical/physician office setting
  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional ,or vocational program
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Experience with EKG, Injections and Venipuncture
  • Performance of common lab tests according to establish CLIA guidelines

  • Exhibits dependability in areas such as attendance, punctuality and the timely performance of duties.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children.
  • Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the treatment area.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment.
