Overview

Position Summary

 

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outbound Sales Representative to join AET’s small but growing sales team. You will be responsible for generating new leads, assisting with closing and managing large strategic accounts, reengaging with existing customers, and driving sales growth through effective communication, account management and relationship building. Your primary goal will be to expand our current base and increase revenue by promoting the sales of diagnostic scan and ADAS tools and our leading on-vehicle technical support. This position will require consistent travel to customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

 

Ideally, you will be based at the Company’s headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. However, a remote role would be acceptable for candidates that are within a 4-hour drive from Olathe. An employee working remotely should expect to spend some time at the Company to develop a deeper understanding of the Company’s products and services, and to receive sales training.

 

Responsibilities

 

Relationship Building and Account Management:

 

  • Assist with sales activities and account management with strategic prospects that represent significant revenue potential.

 

  • Reestablish sales with accounts that purchased products from the Company in the past but whose current sales are significantly less than historical.

 

  • Develop relationships with potential customers in the Midwest.

 

  • Collaborate with the technical support team to ensure exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.

 

  • Provide post-sales support and maintain ongoing communication to foster long-term customer relationships and to capture recurring revenue potential.

 

Lead Generation:

 

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and target markets.

 

  • Utilize various sources, such as databases, online platforms, and industry networking including attendance at trade shows and conferences, to generate a consistent pipeline of leads.

 

  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Sales to develop strategies for lead generation and prospecting.

 

Prospecting and Sales Outreach:

 

  • Initiate outbound calls, emails, and other forms of communication to engage potential customers.

 

  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to highlight the features and benefits of our value added distribution model.

 

  • Understand customer needs, address inquiries, and provide accurate product and service information.

 

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our product and service offerings, pricing structures, and promotions.

 

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using our CRM system.

 

  • Generate regular sales reports and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Sales.

 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and potential challenges.

 

 

Professional Qualifications and Attributes:

 

  • Previous experience in outbound sales in the tool and equipment automotive aftermarket industry; experience with diagnostic scan and ADAS tools is a plus.

 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.

 

  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and meet sales targets.

 

  • Self-motivated and goal-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.

 

  • Interest in building a deep understanding of the repair tools needed to support the electrification of the automotive industry.

 

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to a team environment.
